Hi there — I’m Amanda, owner of The Blue Ribbon Barn, and I’m so happy you’re here!
This blog is the start of something special — a space where I’ll share wedding inspiration, planning tips, local vendor love, and heartfelt moments from our little slice of Northern Michigan. But more than anything, it’s a place where you can get to know me, my team, this barn, and why I believe so deeply in what we do here.
Living the Dream, One Wedding at a Time
Owning and operating The Blue Ribbon Barn is truly a dream come true — one that’s been guided by a lot of love, hard work, and my faith in God. I feel incredibly blessed to wake up each day and do what I love: help couples create meaningful, joy-filled wedding weekends surrounded by the people who matter most. A HUGE thank you goes to my loving husband Jordan, and his Uncle Jody who are my partners in this beautiful business!
We started this venue with a simple idea: to create a space where love could be celebrated, families could gather, and couples could feel completely at ease as they begin their next chapter. It’s a privilege I don’t take for granted.
There’s nothing I love more than watching a couple’s vision come to life — from the first walk-through to the final send-off under the stars. When you book your wedding here, I’m with you every step of the way. My goal? To make your weekend not only smooth and stress-free, but filled with heart, joy, and a whole lot of love.

When I’m not helping couples create unforgettable wedding weekends, you can usually find me at home with my family on our little homestead. We’re often in the garden, hunting, working with our mules, or just soaking in the quiet beauty of the land we love so much.
Those slow, simple moments — the same kind that make wedding weekends here so special — are a huge part of why I feel so connected to this place and the people who celebrate here. It’s not just a barn. It’s a part of my life, my heart, and my story.
And through it all, my faith grounds me. It’s what reminds me to be grateful, to serve others well, and to approach every wedding — and every couple — with love and purpose.
