The Blue Ribbon Barn began as a dream placed on Amanda’s heart in 2017—a vision to create a space where marriages could begin in a way that feels intentional, meaningful, and grounded in something deeper.
That dream became reality when a historic property became available, and God nudged Amanda, her husband Jordan and his uncle and business partner Jody!
Once home to the original Cheboygan County Fairgrounds, the land has long been a place where people gathered—from cattle auctions and baseball games to the well-known Dairy Barn. With the help of family, local craftsmen, and a lot of heart, the space was thoughtfully restored and welcomed its first wedding season in 2023.
At its core, The Blue Ribbon Barn exists because of a deep love and respect for marriage itself.
We believe marriage is more than a single day—it’s a lifelong commitment, rooted in love, strengthened by faith, and shaped over time with intention and grace. While every couple’s story and beliefs may look a little different, our hope is to create a space that honors the significance of this moment and the life that follows it.
In a world that often rushes past meaning, this is a place to slow down. To be fully present. To stand in front of the people who matter most and step into marriage with clarity, purpose, and joy.

We got married here and I can’t recommend it enough. Beautiful venue. We had about 120 guest and there was plenty of room for everyone. Ceremony and reception at the same location. Everything turned out amazing with very little stress. Amanda was quick to respond with any questions I had. We were the first wedding at this location and it went so smoothly. I can’t wait to see all of the amazing events they have in the future.
